Hopefully everyone has been watching the outstanding TV series on the Science Discovery channel titled “Powering The Future.” For a long time the science community has known just how severe our environment and our energy needs are in. We need to get off of oil burning technology.
If one does not care at all about the natural environment of our planet, the countless living beings that depend upon the natural environment, then at least care about your kind, humans, because soon we are approaching the day when it will take more than one barrel of oil to get one barrel out of the Earth.
Anyhow, in a recent episode of “Powering The Future,” the host M.A. Sanjayan met with one of the leading green experts. Sanjayan asked him, if you could ask people to do one thing in going green, then what would it be. The expert said he would ask people to stop eating meat! He went on to say that the energy required and also the gases given off by the cows is alarming.
I hope every person on Earth would *PLEASE* consider eating less meat. Not only will it help our world in the most way, but it’s the humane choice. Most people have no clue of the miserable life these poor industrial milking cows go through being pinned up and in a head lock with machines sucking all of their milk till just on the verge of where the nipples would bleed! And for what? To only end up being killed for their meat!!
Humanity is indeed growing up, entering adulthood, becoming humane and considerate to *all* living beings. Please consider.
Do you care about other living beings? They, Cows, live in a nightmare! Please consider eating less meat, and drinking less milk.
Cows Milk is not a good source of Vitamin D compared to other sources. One 8 oz serving of Cows Milk only has 100 IU Vitamin D. Herring, for example has 1383 IU Vitamin D! Pink canned Salmon has 530 IU Vitamin D. Halibut has 510 IU Vitamin D. Shitake mushrooms has 249 IU Vitamin D! Can you believe that, 4 Shitake mushrooms has 2.49 times more Vitamin D than an 8 ounce glass of Milk. Canned Tuna has 200 IU Vitamin D in just 3 ounces. Soy milk has the same amount of Vitamin D as Cows milk, and I tell you that a good brand of Soy milk taste a lot better than Cows milk. Indeed some brands of Soy milk taste terrible. Today is Cow Appreciation Day. I say be nice to the cows. Don’t eat them! Nearly everyone I’ve known has become healthier after becoming a vegetarian.
Give it a try folks! How could we support the murdering of these precious animals on a global massive scale. They’re stuck in a headlock for hours per day not being able to move while they’re milked by machines just prior to the point where their nipples would start to bleed.
Time to enter full adulthood humanity!! Please give vegetarianism a try. It’s tough at first, habit, but like all habits they eventually fade over time. I know you’re tough enough to do it.

That is so true! And hence one reason why I do not eat meat! The other reason is because I am 100% opposed to humanities global scale slaughter of living animals.
All of the Gulf of Mexico news that’s now coming out from Wildlife services and scientists is heartbreaking! They’re finding dead Whales, Dolphins, Sea Turtles, Sharks, Pelicans, and Bluefin Tuna.
The figures that estimate the amount of oil spewing out into the oceans keeps increasing. Now it is at 1.5 to 2.5 *MILLION* gallons a day.
This is a must see video by John L. Wathen, 9 minutes & 55 seconds in length. Please spread the word about this video. At 2:32 (2 minutes & 32 seconds) time mark the video starts to get more intense. And at 6 minute time mark it gets even more intense.

The amount of oil on the oceans being burnt right now is scary. Not only for the toxic oil pollution, but for all of the mammals such as whales and dolphins. Can you imagine the Whales, the gentle giants of the seas surfacing to breath air, but to only find it’s living skin being torched by the massively hot burning oil?
As you see in videos, John had difficulty finding life in the gulf now. A few dolphin pods swimming around dead floating dolphins trying to figure out how to get out of this world of toxic fumes from unheard of amounts of burning oils.
Looks like the early numbers are already coming in. Isn’t it amazing how even the younger generation can make such a huge difference with tools such as Facebook and Twitter. And the older generation is helping as well. Here’s a quote from CNN news –>
“Along Florida’s Gulf Coast there are signs a boycott may be having some impact. Edison Oil Company, a gasoline distributor in Fort Myers which counts 25 BP stations among its customers, says over the past four days there has been a 30% decline in the volume of gas it is delivering to BP pumps, compared to average daily volume for the past month.“
Wow, a 30% decline in BP gas pumps. Man, the younger generation brings tears to my eyes. For those who help, and to all humanitarians, Thank you so much for caring!
By now most of you have heard of the massive movement around the world and on Facebook & Twitter of people *pledging* to boycott BP. BP was already prosecuted with criminal acts. Indeed, looks like there’s hope, as their appears to be a huge movement amongst the younger generation of people who care.

Obviously everyone in the green movement that was against deep sea oil drilling was correct. Regardless, these companies cannot be trusted, and mistakes will always happen eventually. Here in the USA the majority of conservatives / tea party / republicans were and still encourage deep sea drilling, while Democrats / Liberals were and still are against deep sea drilling.
Such conservatives / tea party / republicans place $ over life, period. Most people have absolutely no clue how much life has died because of the highly toxic crude oil, and this will have an impact spanning decades. One of many examples is the sea turtles that were already endangered are dieing from the toxic oil and lack of food. The remaining sea turtles are forced to swim toward the few remaining fishing areas where they end up with a hook in their mouth.
Perhaps the greatest tragedy is the precious wetlands that are being destroyed as we speak due to the toxic crude oil.
Humanity, please grow up and stop all oil drilling! You have beautiful sources from Wind to Solar.

The National Wildlife Federation is looking for volunteers and support to help spot distressed or oiled wildlife, and to assist in the cleanup and restoration efforts along the coast of Louisiana. You can text the word “NWF” to 20222. That’ll donate $10 to the National Wildlife Federation through your phone bill.
Save Our Seabirds is a Florida bird rescue group that is looking for support as its response team prepares to help oiled wildlife. Call 1-941-388-3010.
The Audubon Society, which is affiliated with the Louisiana Coastal Initiative, is making its Center for Birds of Prey in Florida available for bird cleansing and rehabilitation and is seeking volunteers. Elsewhere, Audubon said it was gearing up to mobilize volunteers and provide assistance as the oil reaches land in Louisiana and elsewhere. Find a local office
The Deep Water Horizon response team is looking for help in identifying shoreline and animals affected. Oiled wildlife should not be captured but instead reported at 1-866-557-1401. To report areas with oil ashore or to leave contact information to volunteer in the affected areas, call 1-866-448-5816.
In addition to the wildlife specific organizations, others are also looking to assist with the effects of the oil spill.
The First Response Team of America is working with the National Guard in Southern Louisiana to build dams to hold back the oil from the fragile coastal habitats. Their founder, Tad Agoglia — who was named a CNN Hero in 2008 – has made their work on the oil spill their top priority until the disaster is contained.
The Mobile Bay National Estuary Program is looking for volunteers to help reduce the potential impact of the oil spill in Mobile Bay. Call 1-251-431-6409.

IMO, any intelligent objective person who’s put a lot of thought and research into societies will admit that capitalism is not the best system for an advanced *civilized* society. I live in the United States, but still have to get a good laugh at people who defend capitalism in such a blind matter assuming it’s the best possible way.
I’m sorry, but capitalism is suited for a society that’s predominately selfish. Not only selfish for self, but for a small number of people called a family. Most people treat family & close friends great and for the most part unselfish to such close people. Although, if you’re not family or close friends, then you get treated differently. A lot of people would give the shirt on their backs to family. Yet a homeless distressed and disturbed person begging on the streets is completely ignored. See Modern society the monster to see how such people are treated. It’s sad. It’s disgusting. Did you watch a great Reality TV show, “Meet the Natives.” There were two series made, one when they went to USA, and a different group of natives went to America. If you did not see the Meet the Natives when they went to American, then I highly recommend it. Here’s one section from an episode that I highly recommend you watch, all of it. Watch their eyes as they see the homeless person. That’s true compassion, folks! -->

The above photo is of a tribesman from Tanna. That’s the face of true compassion. In that episode the Tanna tribesmen spend some time in Central Park people watching. They encounter a homeless man and speak to him about his lifestyle. The tribesmen are literally shocked by what they see, a homeless person. This YouTube video only shows a short clip. What you do not see is later on they talk to each other about how such a thing could be in modern society. To them, to me, and a lot of people, it is an amazingly sad thing, and a reflection of modern people.
Modern humanity is just now on the perimeter of a new transition to a society that is ruled by *GIVING*. People may call that socialism, but there as never been such a society yet. Such a society will be ruled entirely by the public, and only public, not an elite group or military.
I hate to say it, but if you want a glimpse, an outline into what such a modern advanced society will be like, watch Star Trek, say a good old Star Trek episode of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Those sci-fi movies are merely an outline of what will come to be. There you will find people who do not exist to obtain personal wealth, yada yada yada. Rather, an advanced civilized society is where the society has grown up past the emotional teenage years, where people live, exist, and yearn to help other beings, all beings, including the animal kingdom (our little brothers and sisters), to be of service to others. Have you ever received a warm good sense coming over you when you helped someone else? Hmmm, indeed, there is hope for humanity here. Earth humanity is beginning to enter adulthood.
Remember folks, it’s a two way street. There are people who have started out not knowing anything about the law, who read a book how to be your own lawyer, who sued a company, and won. Also, thankfully there are good people / warriors who saw the power of the court, and who became legal humanitarians. That is, people who sue companies who are doing great harming.
Don’t be afraid of threats from a company. Man, if a company ever threatened me in a wrong way, wheeeew boy, God have mercy on that company. Hell would break loose. I have nothing to lose. I’m flat broke, but could borrow enough to sue a company numerous times. IOW, I’m the kind of person that attorneys stay far clear from because they know they can’t get something ($) from nothing.

Also there are probably countless students who are becoming a lawyer who would freely give you advice and even represent you. The reason I’m talking about the topic of self-representation is because this world is getting out of hand by taking capitalism to it’s darkest extremes in a very bad way, and therefore this world needs an army of good warriors to set these companies straight.
It’s not yet on the CNN website. This is amazing, 6th graders! If even 1 out of 100 people *cared* like these young people, this world would be a Utopia in comparison, and humanity would be at peace, no wars, flying the Stars in spaceships, living in orbit in beautiful & wonderful cities. Instead, we get people who either don’t give 2 cents enough to get help others, or who are so involved in filing law suites.

Also you might be interested in hosting a real Earth Day party. A few common tips include:
Use Eco-invites, instead of paper.
Arrange for Green transportation. Encourage your friends to bike, walk, and carpool, or take public transportation to your party. Include information on bus schedules in your invitations.
Eating green. This has less of an impact on our beautiful environment. Remember Earth Day is the day to experiment with foods that you would normally not eat. Most people don’t like tofu dishes, but I tell you that there are tofu dishes, and then there are tofu dishes. I have no idea why, but most tofu foods created by companies are terrible. Yet, there are some that taste better than most dishes I’ve had. So don’t give up on tofu. Also there’s numerous other options such as tempeh? Or how about the famous Greek food, Hummus. That stuff is great, especially hot & spice Hummus. There are endless popular vegetarian dishes, some as simple as baked beans. Go for the organic dishes on Earth day, such as potato chips. I wonder if Sun Chips are organic. Well, they’re the best anyway. Try variates of soy cheese. Again, test beforehand to find the good brands.
Use green colors in your party decorations.
Enjoy your day on Earth, Earth day! It’s one of the biggest events globally. Most importantly, don’t forget what this day represents. Lets help heal the ecosystem or give to non-profit organizations that are trying their best to help. Enjoy!

This is a very important topic for me:
About a month ago, one of the greatest Reality TV series ended, titled “Whale Wars.” It was such a touching tv series, and there will be a 2nd season late 2009. We’ve all heard about “Save the Whales.” And the saying has become somewhat humorous, but for anyone who watched Whale Wars tv series has different thoughts now.
I would encourage *everyone* to watch this tv series. To be honest, I couldn’t watch some of the scenes because it just grips your heart and yanks it out what the japanese fleet are doing each season. I have ***never*** seen something so sad in my life!!! You can’t believe it until you see the video footage. The largest creature on Earth, the great whales. A mother and her calf, passive creatures, a brain the size of a car, swimming peacefully through the oceans, a japanese fleet ship aims a massive steel harpoon at the mother, the harpoon lunges inside her belly, the mother begins thrashing here tail violently like you’ve never seen a whale move so fast before, the ship slowly yanks here toward the ship and pulls here massive body up the slide, the mother is still breathing as you can see the mist flies out here blow hole as you breaths, and for some time she remains alive in agonizing torture. It is so disturbing, that it has made to never buy a product from japan again until they make this illegal. The japanese whaling fleet goal each season is to murder over 900 of the great whales, and as far as I’m aware, japan is the only country still doing this.
