Unmanned solar plane smashes records

The Zephyr plane, developed by UK defense technology company, QinetiQ, has been in flight now for seven days, and still flying. It's already doubled its previous record of 82 hours. The Zephyr weighs just 117 pounds (53 Kg), and has a wingspan of 74 feet (22.5 meters). The top side is covered in solar panels thinner than a sheet of paper. The panels contain lithium-sulphur batteries to power the plane at night.

See the CNN full story on Zephyr.

7-11’s not so free Slurpee Day

I just checked to see if it's real, that if 7-11 is giving free slurpees at their stores on July 11th. No, they are only giving free slurpees from a special truck.

Sorry, no free slurpees at 7-11 stores.

Gas stations dumping BP!

Thank the Infinite!   It looks like the voices of the public are being heard. Gas stations are now starting to dump BP -->

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/07/some-bp-gas-stations-swit_n_638398.html

Let this be a lesson BP.  Take you and all of the criminal acts that the USA has convicted you with and go away for a long time.

People are finding out which gas stations use BP oil, such as Arco gas stations.

Must see Video!!

This is a must see video by John L. Wathen, 9 minutes & 55 seconds in length. Please spread the word about this video. At 2:32 (2 minutes & 32 seconds) time mark the video starts to get more intense. And at 6 minute time mark it gets even more intense.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxDf-KkMCKQ

Unbelievable rapid destruction on a scale unseen by humanity thus far!!

The amount of oil on the oceans being burnt right now is scary. Not only for the toxic oil pollution, but for all of the mammals such as whales and dolphins.  Can you imagine the Whales, the gentle giants of the seas surfacing to breath air, but to only find it's living skin being torched by the massively hot burning oil?

As you see in videos, John had difficulty finding life in the gulf now. A few dolphin pods swimming around dead floating dolphins trying to figure out how to get out of this world of toxic fumes from unheard of amounts of burning oils.

New invention zip file

I made another breakthrough for an excess energy device. Please download and store in a safe location.

Again, it's a password zip file. This technology is open-source, but it's delayed open-source. When it's legally protected, then all of the details will be released. This method is used because it's well known there are companies and people that make a living by stealing IP from inventors who post such technology online. Posting to an insecure forum, a blog, or website does not hold any weight in the court of law. For example, it would be extremely easy for such a person or company to steal a new invention at the overunity forum by patenting it.

Thanks for helping to make this guaranteed open-source.

BP boycott making a dent!

Looks like the early numbers are already coming in. Isn't it amazing how even the younger generation can make such a huge difference with tools such as Facebook and Twitter. And the older generation is helping as well. Here's a quote from CNN news -->

"Along Florida's Gulf Coast there are signs a boycott may be having some impact. Edison Oil Company, a gasoline distributor in Fort Myers which counts 25 BP stations among its customers, says over the past four days there has been a 30% decline in the volume of gas it is delivering to BP pumps, compared to average daily volume for the past month."

Wow, a 30% decline in BP gas pumps.  Man, the younger generation brings tears to my eyes. For those who help, and to all humanitarians, Thank you so much for caring!

Boycott BP forever - huge movement!

By now most of you have heard of the massive movement around the world and on Facebook & Twitter of people *pledging* to boycott BP. BP was already prosecuted with criminal acts. Indeed, looks like there's hope, as their appears to be a huge movement amongst the younger generation of people who care.

Boycotting BP will indeed help tremendously -->

  • Boycotting BP rewards oil companies that are more careful.
  • Boycotting BP sends a message to the oil industry.
  • Boycotting BP gets people thinking, which encourages people to burn *less* gasoline.
  • Boycotting BP gets people thinking, which encourages people to use green energy.

This BP Boycott is one of the greatest acts I've seen in a long time.

Here is the main Facebook Boycott BP, that is presently at 727,596 members who have taken a pledge to Boycott BP.  Please join -->

Please let me know if you find other Twitter or Facebook accounts to follow.

Here are the companies associate with BP. I pledge to not use any of these companies for at least the next 10 years. Together all good people can send a message they will never forget!

A few companies associated with BP that people around the world are now avoiding:

Please let me know if you find more companies. Also please let me know if any of the above companies makes a public statement that they are no longer associated with BP.

No more oil drilling

Obviously everyone in the green movement that was against deep sea oil drilling was correct. Regardless, these companies cannot be trusted, and mistakes will always happen eventually. Here in the USA the majority of conservatives / tea party / republicans were and still encourage deep sea drilling, while Democrats / Liberals were and still are against deep sea drilling.

Such conservatives / tea party / republicans place $ over life, period. Most people have absolutely no clue how much life has died because of the highly toxic crude oil, and this will have an impact spanning decades. One of many examples is the sea turtles that were already endangered are dieing from the toxic oil and lack of food. The remaining sea turtles are forced to swim toward the few remaining fishing areas where they end up with a hook in their mouth.

Perhaps the greatest tragedy is the precious wetlands that are being destroyed as we speak due to the toxic crude oil.

Humanity, please grow up and stop all oil drilling! You have beautiful sources from Wind to Solar.

Please pray, meditate, volunteer to help, donate, or whatever you believe in to help in any way possible.

How can you help?

A number of organizations are recruiting volunteers:

The National Wildlife Federation is looking for volunteers and support to help spot distressed or oiled wildlife, and to assist in the cleanup and restoration efforts along the coast of Louisiana.
You can text the word "NWF" to 20222. That'll donate $10 to the National Wildlife Federation through your phone bill.

Save Our Seabirds is a Florida bird rescue group that is looking for support as its response team prepares to help oiled wildlife. Call 1-941-388-3010.

The Audubon Society, which is affiliated with the Louisiana Coastal Initiative, is making its Center for Birds of Prey in Florida available for bird cleansing and rehabilitation and is seeking volunteers. Elsewhere, Audubon said it was gearing up to mobilize volunteers and provide assistance as the oil reaches land in Louisiana and elsewhere. Find a local office

The Deep Water Horizon response team is looking for help in identifying shoreline and animals affected. Oiled wildlife should not be captured but instead reported at 1-866-557-1401. To report areas with oil ashore or to leave contact information to volunteer in the affected areas, call 1-866-448-5816.

In addition to the wildlife specific organizations, others are also looking to assist with the effects of the oil spill.

The First Response Team of America is working with the National Guard in Southern Louisiana to build dams to hold back the oil from the fragile coastal habitats. Their founder, Tad Agoglia -- who was named a CNN Hero in 2008 - has made their work on the oil spill their top priority until the disaster is contained.

The Mobile Bay National Estuary Program is looking for volunteers to help reduce the potential impact of the oil spill in Mobile Bay. Call 1-251-431-6409.

Thanks for helping!!!

Multiple oscilloscopes

The Hantek PC USB oscilloscope software allows you to connect multiple Hantek units. For example two Hantek units gives you 4 channels. There could be a major issue in that the Hantek units will most likely not be in sync with each other. In order to be in sync both units need to be in communication with each other so they trigger at the same time. For example a pulse signal might repeat at tens of thousands of times per second, but if both Hantek units don't trigger one the exact same pulse, then it's not a true 4 channel oscilloscope.

You have to remember that oscilloscopes do not show everything. They don't show every pulse. There could be 10 thousand pulse trains per second, but your oscilloscope trace might only update say 50 times per second.

Over the months I've been itching to build my own PC USB oscilloscope that has at least 6 channels. Yes, that would cost a fortune to buy such a scope. Also, each channel must be a differential input, other wise I'd need 11 normal channels. And hopefully it will have at least 5 MHz BW. Wow, I seriously doubt there's such a 6 *differential input* channel 5+ MHz BW oscilloscope for sale. Maybe one would have to sell their house to buy it. That's how many channels I need to quick get live efficiency results for my Hue device. Oh, and the scope needs to have powerful math. Most scopes only allow you to multiply channel one with channel two.  Well, that's far from going getting you efficiency.

Anyhow, a lot of my time over that past several days has been toward designing such an unheard of oscilloscope. What a nightmare it is to design. If it's successful, then hopefully I can market and sell it. It's not to be confused with my excess energy research. It's only a way to make some money to live. :-D

The goal of my oscilloscope is -->

  • At least 6 channels, hopefully 8.
  • All channels should be differential inputs. That is, none of the probe inputs have to be connected to ground.
  • At least 40 MHz BW.
  • Allow for custom complex math between all of the channels, including integral math.
  • Be a USB PC oscilloscope.
  • A signal generator. Indeed, an oscilloscope and signal generator all at once.
  • An LCR meter.
  • A DMM.
  • A dual temperature probe.
  • RPM and frequency meter.

And it would be nice to also have a color LCD along with batteries so it could be a mobile oscilloscope as well. ... Did I miss anything???  :-D :-D :-D

Omnibus claim - conclusion

I just received an email that Omnibus finally learned that coils have parallel capacitance. Roughly a few weeks ago I sent Omnibus two emails offering to help him, telling him that his common transformer with a common sine wave signal was not over-unity, but he did not reply back. Sometimes people want to learn the hard way. :-?

Omnibus only needed to see the 4th item in my measuring tips -->

http://globalfreeenergy.info/2010/06/10/measuring-tips/

"Coils have an appreciable amount parallel capacitance. At higher frequencies this will tend to short the coils."

It is *not* fine to ignore parallel capacitance, which is why one must be certain of the amount of parallel capacitance relative the frequencies being used.

If one wants to know the power produced by say a signal generator, then measure the power directly at the signal generator. Do not count on the AC current flowing through the coil as being 100% resistive.

If one wants to know the total heat produced within the inductor or transformer or component where parallel reactance is appreciable, then they should take Calorimetry measurements.  An expensive high end calorimeter is often not required. Depending on the required accuracy and precision, often a $0.15 thermistor inside an inexpensive Styrofoam container is sufficient. Preliminary calibration tests will reveal if the homemade calorimeter is sufficient.

Impedance (Z) is both reactance (X) and resistance (R). Wikipedia has a nice page on Electrical impedance.

Digikey sort by Price

My favorite place to shop for components is digikey.com, but one bad thing is they don't have a sort by price option, which has cost digikey a lot of my business. The other places such as mouser.com and newark.com sort by price. This is no longer an issue because there's a greasemonkey script that sorts digikey prices. :-D   Wow, this is like an early Christmas present!  If you have Firefox browser, then you're in luck. Here's how -->

Install the popular Greasemonkey plug-in for firefox, which is really cool because there are thousands of awesome Greasemonkey scripts to improve websites. I just learned about this today. For example, a script that makes Google Image searches have a link that goes directly to the image. Just be careful what scripts you download. I would only download scripts you must have, and try to get the popular ones. The scripts are in javascript text, so any programmer could easily see if there's something kind of hacking code. If it's a popular script and nobody is complaining about being hacked, then that's better. The link to the Greasemonkey plug-in for firefox is https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748.  Click on "Add to Firefox."  After it restarts your browser, then go to the popular website, http://userscripts.org where you can find countless scripts for Greasemonkey, and search for digikey, which will take you to http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/50519. Next, click "Install."  After it's installed, simply go to digikey.com, and search away. You should now see up & down arrows under "price" to allow you to sort by price. Also in the top-left corner of the digikey website page you will see a "Filter Table by" with a bunch of options that allows you filter out out of stock items, or "Call" or "Calculate" prices, or even set a maximum price (min qty * price). How cool is that?!

New blog from Steorn guys

The three guys who've worked on all every type of Orbo (Phil Watson, Donal O’Donovan, Tony Wilson) made a new blog post today -->

OK haven’t put up an entry in ages, main reason is that Steorn brought out a new variant and this meant that all our tests to date where, umh, useless!  The new device uses way less power so it’s worth it. Anyway we have started working on this one and it has meant we are behind schedule by about a month, ah wel...

http://www.iol.ie/~inscc/My_Orbo_Blog/Blog/Entries/2010/6/9_changes..html

There blog site focuses only on the SS-Orbo. So, Steorn has a new version of SS-Orbo?  Does it resemble the Hue device???

STOP THE SKDB INVITES ALREADY!

I'm not trying to be rude, but enough is enough. Please *STOP* with the SKDB invites already!  It's scary how many people have invited me to join the new SKDB Lite lately.  No offense to Steorn, but Hell would freeze over before I signed any NDA related to excess energy technology!  Why?  Because I don't want to take any chance of destroying my option to start my own company that researchers & markets excess energy technology. Why?  Because nearly 100% of people have absolutely no interest in replicating or building such devices. In my firm opinion most people will want to go to the store and buy it. Therefore, if one company controls and owns excess energy technology, then everyone has to rely on them getting such devices into public hands. And besides, I kind of like researching such technology, and after it's proven, and only until after it's proven I look forward to making a meager living working on such technology. Surely my future company will make lots of money, but the life of materialism is not for me. Such money will go to humanitarian causes.

BTW, please let me know if you learn of any companies that are working on marketing any Orbo technology.

Tests on Steorn SS-Orbo – update

In a blog today I recommended that people contact Steorn if they're interested in testing an official SS-Orbo. I just received an email saying that such people should hold off for one week because of some new developments.  That's all I know. I can only assume there are some new big developments at Steorn.

Tests on Steorn SS-Orbo

I think a lot of people are wondering if anyone has tested the SS-Orbo. Yes, I know of one person who recently went to Steorn and tested an actual SS-Orbo. I can't say what the results were because this person did not tell me. It appears people are not allowed to reveal their SS-Orbo measurement results.

That being said, *YES* even to this day Steorn allows people to go to Steorn company and test the SS-Orbo.  I'm a certain that if you have some good experience in electrical engineering that Sean McCarthy would allow you to enter the Steorn company to test an SS-Orbo.  BTW, I hear Ireland is one of the greatest countries to take a vacation to! ;-)

So it appears Steorn has nothing to hide in regards to SS-Orbo measurements so long as people sign some papers.
